tiffany daniels

  • Tiffany Daniels was born in Dallas Texas on March 11th 1988 and grew up in Pensacola Florida where she would live for the rest of her life. She was a loving young woman with an undeniable charisma that tended to draw in those around her.
  • Tiffany was a free-spirited young woman who did her own thing and didn't give much attention to the opinions of others she was a fun-loving woman who marched to the beat of a different drummer from an early age. Tiffany's love of art was apparent and she possessed a talent when it came to putting the paintbrush to the canvas. Tiffany's involvement in the artistic side of her life would become a lifelong passion.
  • Tiffany's adventurous interests fed well into her love of nature. She enjoyed hiking and camping, and got tattoos showing seeds growing into vines and blooming.
  • Tiffany's father Rodney described her as a butterfly girl who would take off and follow a butterfly if she saw one. Her family had grown used to her spontaneous nature. Tiffany's artistic talents were apparent to her instructors when she was in high school and the young woman excelled when it came to the arts she began to hone her craft and eventually graduated from high school having taken a large curriculum of advanced placement classes and receiving multiple scholarship offers. Tiffany's parents stated that she was a kind and caring individual that avoided confrontation at all costs, but her kind nature also left her open to being taken advantage of or pushed further than she should be.
  • Tiffany considered several different futures including art, marine biology and international business, but her heart truly wanted to pursue the arts or the sciences. Tiffany traveled to Europe with college friends and established a profile on the website couchsurfing during this time she also made references to spending time in Israel and making a trip across North America in a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 after finishing with school Tiffany moved out on her own.
  • Tiffany lived with several roommates, mostly male, and eventually her boyfriend moved away, she became the sole resident of a home owned by a woman named Sarah, and she got a job working at Pensacola State College in the theatre department, where she painted scenes and backdrops for plays. In 2012 Tiffani met and fell in love with a man named gray Thomas. They were cute as a button together, and everyone thought this might be the one.
  • Thomas was a very kind young man and Candace said he worked with robotics and loved to dance. Terry Strickland, one of Tiffany's friends, remembers the exact moment they met.
  • Tiffany's family first took notice of her financial struggles in July of 2013 when she started paying for things up front and then trying to collect from her roommates end. They were worried that her compassion for others was becoming a point of contention with her free-spirited personality and the constraints of structure and money. Tiffany posted a roommate ad on Craigslist and got a response from Gary Nichols, the father of one of her friends. Her family felt strange about the situation and their daughter Cindy expressed her lack of comfort with the situation.
  • Despite her family's feelings on the situation, Tiffany was determined to go her own way and Gary moved in with her in late July of 2013 things were going well the two got along well and despite the age gap, Gary didn't cramp Tiffany's style. Tiffany had a difficult decision to make, she loved where she was living but wanted to continue her relationship with Thomas. She told Thomas she couldn't leave Florida and would instead travel with him but she put her feet down and said no to moving.
  • Tiffany told gray she wasn't coming to Austin but promised to visit him whenever she could and expressed to friends that she was excited about the possibility of visiting him and experiencing Austin for herself while Thomas was set to leave on the morning of Sunday August 11th 2013
  • Tiffany wasn't overly concerned as many of her friends and family members have said it wasn't uncommon for her to take an adventure off a whim and if indeed she wanted to go to Austin she'd simply go when gray left Geary Nichols was there and later reported that Tiffany seemed down and not her usual bubbly self. Nichols and Tiffany said good night to one another and retired to their bedrooms, although Tiffany's father stated that she wasn't an early riser.
  • Tiffany typically arrived at work around 8:00 a.m. on Monday August 12th, but some days earlier. Gary Nichols was awakened by strange sounds between 3:00 and 5:00 a.m. and didn't think too much of it, but went to work anyway. Tiffany arrived at work for her normal shift that day and nothing seemed to be different about her behavior but a few hours into her shift she requested to leave work early and further explained that she may be needing some time off but she didn't divulge any information which might have suggested what she needed the time off for. Cindy feels suspicious about Tiffany's supervisor, bob, who claimed to have knowledge of Tiffany's plans to need time off and leave early. Bob was later uncooperative with police and supposedly didn't give much in terms of answers. Cindy was asked about Bob and Tiffany's relationship and revealed that Bob had allegedly played a large role in Tiffany's choice to not move to Austin and that a woman who had attended Pensacola State College told Cindy that Bob had a reputation for fraternizing with female students. Cindy said she was aware of a possible relationship between Tiffany and Bob, and that Pensacola State College would not allow the television show disappeared to film on campus. Tiffany disappeared after working at Pensacola State College and was never seen again. No one noticed anything was wrong until 10:00 p.m.
  • Nichols was home but hadn't seen Tiffany all day. He called his daughter Noel to tell her that he was overreacting and that she was an adult and maybe she didn't want to hang out with him all the time. Nichols assumes that Tiffany is an adult and can take care of herself, but when he returns home from work he finds the light switches unresponsive and discovers that the power to the home has been cut off assuming that Tiffany failed to pay the bill something that is completely unlike her. Several days pass between the time that Nichols suspects something strange is going on and the time that Noel finally makes contact with Tiffany's mother, the reason for the gap in time is never made clear in a statement. Cindy and Noel make plans to try and find Tiffany by reaching out to her extensive list of friends they discover rather quickly that almost everyone hasn't seen nor spoken to Tiffany for days and most assume that Tiffany is spending time with someone else as concern grows and Tiffany fails to be located. Cindy files a missing-persons report based on her location living outside the city limits of Pensacola the Sheriff's Department sends three officers to her home to take a report but doesn't appear to be overly concerned nor taking the report as a significant sign that anything serious is going on.
  • Cindy Daniels instructs the deputy to file a missing-persons report and find her daughter, but the Sheriff's Department passes the case file and notes along to the Pensacola Police Department, where detective Daniel Her net takes things more seriously than the Sheriff's Department.
  • Cindy feels apprehensive about meeting Gary and feels that his behavior is a little odd he asks her if they've caught anyone yet but Cindy doesn't understand because at this point there is no probable suspect. The detective arrived at the home and looked around but found nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing which indicated the possibility of foul play, but also nothing which indicated Tiffany had planned any trips, and nothing in the home which suggested she was forced to leave. Harnett issues a bolo for Tiffany's vehicle and alerts the local news media, looks into Tiffany's friends and family, and learns that Tiffany's boyfriend gray Thomas left town the day before Tiffany vanished. Rodney is already a step ahead of the detective when he learns of Tiffany's disappearance and calls gray Thomas, who assures him that he left on Sunday and has no idea where Tiffany could possibly be.
  • Thomas was asked to submit his fingerprints and DNA to the local police in Austin, Texas, but claims that he spoke to Tiffany the day before Tiffany went missing. According to notes about the case, authorities checked Tiffany's laptop and found evidence of internet browsing between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Then they looked at Garry Nichols, Tiffany's roommate, who was one of the last people to have seen Tiffany. Nichols story varies in one case he says he had left work at 4:00 p.m. the day Tiffany disappeared, in another case he says he was not home during the period that Tiffany was believed to have been there, but every question he answers, and nothing else jumps out during the investigation. Nichols doesn't seem suspicious nor does he act out of the ordinary. The net feels that if Nichols had played a role in the disappearance, he wouldn't have been pushing so hard to get the family notified that Tiffany hadn't come home.
  • Tiffany's family reported that she had been having financial struggles, and several friends reported that she hadn't seemed her bubbly and happy self. According to Terry Strickland, Tiffany's friends had drifted away from her recently. Tiffany's mother was adamant that Tiffany would never consider suicide, and Terry Strickland felt that Tiffany cared too much about the people in her life to ever consider doing something like that.
  • Tiffany's family and friends turn to social media to help find Tiffany and her car which is missing the absence of the vehicle contributes to some theories regarding the possibility that Tiffany could have been carjacked or possibly have gotten into an accident and gone into the ocean. Eight days after Tiffany was last seen, a woman riding her bike who also happened to be friends with Tiffany's sister Angela recognized Tiffany's Toyota 4runner parked in a parking area just outside of Fort Pickens on Pensacola Beach.
  • Tiffany's friend notified police and the Daniel's family, and Cindy rushed down to the scene despite investigators requesting for her to stay home she saw Tiffany's purse, tablet, wallet, and phone inside the SUV, but her phone had been out of minutes for days prior to her disappearance. After investigators sweep the vehicle, they have it towed back to the impound lot at the Pensacola Police Department where forensic technicians will begin examining the vehicle in finer detail. Officers question residents in the complex across the street from the parking lot but get contradictory statements. Cindy and Tiffany's friends hand out over 40,000 fliers and go door-to-door at the condo complex asking if anyone had seen anything unusual. When the forensic team arrived they found a fingerprint on the driver's side door and one on the steering wheel that didn't match anyone and that wasn't in their system meaning that whoever left them there randomly. They also found sand on Tiffany's bike which indicates that she likely did not re-enter the vehicle. Detective Harnett begins to investigate the camera systems of the Bob Sykes bridge which leads to the location where Tiffany's vehicle was found. The system captures the license plate of all vehicles entering the beach area and shows that Tiffany's vehicle entered the area on August 12th. The family wants a comprehensive search of Santa Rosa Island but the Pensacola Police Department has limited resources cindy Daniels is put in contact with the class Kids Foundation which conducts search operations for missing persons on August 25th.
  • A tip is received from a convenience store clerk who claims to have seen Tiffany but the surveillance footage shows that Tiffany never entered the store and the transaction that the clerk described never actually took place.
  • Pensacola police chief chip Simmons states that they have checked Tiffany's home, her vehicle, and other places, but have found nothing that leads them to believe foul play is suspected. rumors begin to spin that Tiffany may have been the victim of a human trafficking operation.
  • According to the tip, not long after Tiffany's disappearance, a waitress saw three women enter the restaurant, one of which was a dead ringer for Tiffany. The waitress also noticed that neither of the younger women made eye contact with her. Tiffany's mother went out with her daughter to eat and noticed that the broth was chicken instead of fish and that Tiffany looked remarkably like Tiffany Daniels who had gone missing from Pensacola Florida. The family and police began to investigate the trafficking possibility. A waitress was raped by Cindy Daniels in 2013 though she did not report it until January 14th 2014 according to Brad Dennis.
  • Florida is ranked third in the number of reports of human trafficking in the United States and interstate 10 is well known as a route used by traffickers. A woman in Alabama reported seeing Tiffany hitchhiking but when police arrived it was a different woman.
  • Cindy requested a snippet of the audio, which was found to be a police officer's confession to killing his girlfriend, the audio was traced to Russia, where police could do little about the false tip, and two years after Tiffany vanished, her family held a candlelight vigil.
  • In October of 2015 nine individuals were arrested in an FBI sting operation into human trafficking, among them were individuals located in Santa Rosa Beach and Pensacola as well as Mississippi and Alabama. Police are looking for information about a male seen in or around Tiffany's vehicle in the days after she went missing this information tracks back to a tip given to police in the days following the discovery of her car two years later a new witness came forward and gave an account which matched the previous statement. Tiffany's father stated that he felt encouraged by the tip, but sadly the case continued to grow cold without any new leads, and for investigators and the family frustration settled in once again. Four years after Tiffany's disappearance, investigators had will light say that he believed Tiffany was still alive. In 2017 for the first time the Daniel's family was asked about Tiffany's disappearance and how they were handling it four years later. Cindy Daniels was granted access to Tiffany's SUV as it still sits in the impound lot at the Pensacola Police Department she noted several details which were out of the ordinary including Tiffany's bike being in several pieces and several paintings inside the vehicle. Little information has been discovered to offer a probable insight into what may have happened to the 25 year old artist several theories have been purported some by family members some by law enforcement and others from tipsters and Internet investigators. Tiffany Daniels may have gone for a late-night swim and been caught up in rip tides or strong currents, or she may have taken her own life because of financial woes, sadness over another boyfriend leaving town, and a slowly degrading system of friends. Tiffany Daniels may have been abducted or killed by a stranger at random, someone she knew and trusted, or a jealous would-be suitor who took Thomas's exit as a chance to approach Tiffany and struck back violently. Tiffany Daniels vanished on August 12 2013 it's been nearly five years since she was last seen and while theories have abounded little truth has been uncovered for the investigators working the case it's a startling ly frustrating story about the dangers the world can harbor for a strong independent woman. Cindy Daniel's speaks to her daughter every day both out loud and in the written word and refuses to let the possibility that she will someday have her daughter back go.
  • Cindy stated quote I write on her Facebook page I write to her every month and tell her things I tell her that we're here and that we're not gonna give up FIU online students can take advantage of high-impact opportunities that lead to success and leadership skills FIU online programs feature the same top-ranked faculty as on-campus classes.
  • Watching interviews with her family was difficult, you could see the pain in their faces, and hear the grief in their voices.
  • Tiffany was a beautiful young woman with a brilliant mind and a remarkable talent for art, she used her talent both in her personal life as a form of expression and at work designing and painting sets for plays, she lightened the mood and brought joy into lives. This is a tough case with a lot of possibilities and little evidence. There are a handful of theories, each with their merits and detractors, and it's important to not get caught up in fighting for what you personally believe. Tiffany was defined by almost everyone she knew as a free spirit who loved to travel and would often take off with little notice if at all she had spent time during college backpacking through Europe and had driven across the country on a long trip. Tiffany's life at the time she vanished was full of challenges, her boyfriend had left town, many of her close friends had drifted away and it's not difficult to see travel as a possibility for Tiffany to disconnect and experience the freedom of travelling which always seemed to revive her soul. Tiffany was described as being deeply caring and empathetic and not the type of person to just up and leave her family to wonder what happened to her, there have been no sightings of Tiffany and her social security number has been frozen, making it seem unlikely that she is alive. It seems unlikely that Tiffany left of her own volition, and even if she did, it wouldn't seem like the most likely scenario. Tiffany may have been suicidal at the time she vanished, but she had no mental health diagnosis and while she was facing a difficult time, it doesn't appear that these issues were insurmountable. Tiffani's SUV was found in the parking lot of a beach that wasn't far from her home, and she had numerous personal effects inside the SUV, which indicates that she wasn't bringing them with her.
  • Tiffany was last seen walking on the beach with no items with her, but most have suggested she drowned herself. However, drowning is actually a fairly difficult task, as the brain and body are hardwired for survival.
  • Tiffany could have gone down to the water that night and by the time she changed her mind was unable to get back to shore, however, the fact that nothing was ever found leads some to believe that she may have been swept out into the Gulf of Mexico. Tiffany's friends and family feel that she would not have committed suicide if she were the caring and loving woman they described her to be, but without further information it seems like a slim chance that she would have turned to suicide. The third theory considers the possibility that Tiffany may have drowned as the result of an accident, but there are a lot of risk factors involved, including the possibility of rip tides and strong currents overwhelming Tiffany.
  • Tiffani's death presents similar problems to the suicide theory because there was nothing to indicate that she'd gone into the water that night and no one saw anything nor heard anything which suggested someone was in the water and struggling. Tiffany's mother believes that if Tiffany had gone into the ocean that night, she would have left her flip-flops or an article of clothing on the beach. Tiffany was believed to have driven to the beach that night, even though we can't know for sure because of the license plate reader not taking a photo of the entire vehicle, and there isn't much evidence to support one theory over the other.
  • Tiffany went to the beach on her own, but many people have reported that in the evenings the beach area is sparsely populated and incredibly dark on the one hand this would make Tiffany much more likely to be victimized by someone, but on the other hand someone could have followed Tiffany. There are several possible scenarios from someone coaxing Tiffany into a vehicle to one or more suspects using physical assault to get her, whether police followed up on tags for vehicles seen leaving the beach that day is unknown.
  • Tiffany may have been murdered or abducted into human trafficking, there have been multiple busts involving human trafficking in the area, and one woman was abducted and forced into prostitution just weeks after Tiffany vanished. While it isn't unlikely that Tiffany could have been trafficked in some former fashion, the evidence is lacking to support the theory outside of witness reports of Tiffany possibly being in Louisiana and allegedly in the company of an older Hispanic woman while this is a startling witness account, there is no way to truly verify it. In a lot of trafficking operations it's difficult to track the victims, and even if the rings are broken, it's difficult to get the cooperation of suspects. There's also a great deal of compartmentalization going on. Tiffany could have been a victim of a situation such as this, as the people running the operations at a street level aren't aware of much about the victims let alone their names or where they were taken from. The final theory in this case is that Tiffany may have been the victim of a homicide conducted either by a total stranger in a random act of violence or possibly by someone she knew and trusted there are several possibilities in relation to this theory which warrant further investigation.
  • Tiffany's boyfriend Gary Nichols her much older roommate and her work supervisor Bob are often mentioned as people who may have been involved in Tiffany's death but the lack of evidence leaves these questions looming. Thomas was Kylee cooperative with the authorities and seemed to be traumatized by the disappearance, he has lost touch with the family and has been considered a non suspect, considering that he voluntarily gave fingerprints and DNA and answered every question from investigators. Garry Nichols moved in with Tiffany, causing suspicion from the family, but Tiffany felt secure in the arrangement knowing that Garry was financially stable and she knew him at least somewhat. Gary doesn't have a violent past nor a rap sheet to make him suspicious, but his behavior and statements from the day Tiffany vanished make some suspicious. Cindy Daniels feels that it's unlikely that Gary was awoken by a door opening and closing.
  • According to Cindy, Gary was a suspect in Tiffany's disappearance because he moved out of the home very quickly after Tiffany's disappearance, asked if someone was caught before anyone was truly considering abduction or murder, and didn't have many conversations with the family once the investigation was fully launched.
  • Gary is a person of interest in the investigation, but it's hard to say where he stands, and it's strange that he wouldn't be interested in picking up the phone and answering Cindy and Rodney's questions if indeed he was so concerned about the disappearance. Cindy reported seeing paintings in Tiffany's vehicle in the impound lot and speculated that they may have been there with the intention of selling them. However, it raises certain questions as to why Tiffany would have left her beloved vehicle behind if indeed she got into Bob's vehicle. The motive for Tiffany's disappearance remains a mystery, and police are still in possession of two fingerprints from her vehicle that have never been identified, it is believed that these fingerprints were tested against gray Thomas and Gary Nichols samples, whether or not Bob submitted anything remains unclear. The disappearance of Tiffany Daniels is remarkably disturbing and frustrating there is yet hope that someone out there has the answers. Tiffany Daniels vanished just under five years ago and her family and police have been on the hunt ever since until someone comes forward with more information a sighting can be verified or there is a miraculous break in the case the disappearance of Tiffany Daniels remains open and unsolved.
